Maintaining one’s oral
health is essential to a
healthy lifestyle. Many
people are ready to make the
commitment to improve their
oral health, but have a
difficult time choosing
between dental insurance and
discount dental plans. Our
goal at True Dental
Insurance, LLC is to improve
oral health throughout
Florida, Texas and
California by making quality
dental care affordable and
accessible to everyone. We
know that our goal is
possible because we offer
GROUP DENTAL INSURANCE to
the PUBLIC.
The majority of dental discount plans cap the amount of coverage to an annual/dollar maximum that is usually $1,000 to $1,500 per year. The individual is responsible for any costs incurred after that. True dental insurance do not have annual/dollar limits. Our plan members throughout Florida, Texas, and California can use their dental insurance as often as they’d like. There is no limit to the amount of money our members can save by using their dental insurance! Dental discount plans will frequently refuse to cover certain procedures or impose long waiting periods. For example, many dental discount plans have exclusions on pre-existing conditions and may require a 6 to 18 month waiting period before paying for major dental treatment. Conversely, true dental insurance plans are free of these limitations and are effective by the 1st of following month (if you enroll on September 25th your effective date would be October 1st), allowing plan members to join and start saving on their dental care as quickly as possible. Additionally, our dental insurance offers significant savings on dental specialties, such as orthodontics and teeth whitening, while dental discount plans very rarely cover these procedures. With that in mind, let’s consider how the differences between dental insurance and discount dental plans can affect you. True Dental Insurance is typically characterized by monthly premiums, no age limits, no waiting periods, no maximum dollar limit and pre-existing conditions are covered. Alternatively, discount dental plans are designed to be as accessible as possible, so they do not share any of these characteristics associated with dental insurance. |
